Overview
Founded in 1988 by Peter Stas and Aletta Bax and based at Plan-les-Ouates outside Geneva; acquired by Citizen in 2016 and still operating from the same manufacture. It also owns Alpina. Its proposition is difficult watchmaking at prices where nobody else attempts it — in-house manufacture calibers from 2004, a worldtimer set entirely from the crown, and from 2016 a perpetual calendar at roughly a tenth of the complication's usual entry price. The Heart Beat aperture, exposing the balance from the dial side, has been its signature since 1994.
