They are written to be read. Where something is a limitation, it is stated plainly rather than buried — a record is only worth relying on if its boundaries are clear.

They are published for transparency, and several provisions — governing law, dispute resolution, liability caps, and statutory privacy rights — are expressly left unstated rather than asserted before that review.
