Overview
Founded at Neuchâtel in 1946 by Charles von Büren — not as a watch brand but as a CASE MANUFACTURER. Von Büren SA supplied dive-watch cases to other makers, Blancpain, Doxa and Heuer among them, and became a marque in its own right later. That origin is the brand's real significance for authentication: the same case construction legitimately appears under several different names, so case commonality across marques of this era is the normal condition rather than evidence of a marriage. The characteristic von Büren design places the crown at four o'clock beneath a straight-cut section of the case wall present only on that side.
