The Big Bang case is built as a stack — bezel, gasket, case body, back — screwed together with the construction visible from outside. That is unusual and it is an advantage for an examiner: the tolerances a counterfeiter must hit are on display rather than hidden behind a caseback, so layer alignment, gasket compression and edge finishing can all be judged without opening anything.

    Where a case is claimed as ceramic, carbon or sapphire, the claim is testable without equipment: those materials differ from steel in weight and in how quickly they take heat from the hand. A ceramic case that warms like metal is not ceramic. This is one of the few material claims in the catalog that an examiner can check in the room.
