H. Moser & Cie. HMC 200
ProbableThe brand's automatic base. Two features distinguish it structurally rather than decoratively: the modular escapement, which lifts out as a single assembly rather than being seated component by component in the plate, and the in-house hairspring — a component almost every manufacturer buys in. Both are visible or verifiable, which is what makes them worth recording in an authentication catalog rather than in a specification table.

Authentication notes
- MovementProbable
The escapement module reads as a discrete unit through the caseback
Where a conventional movement distributes its escapement components across the plate, Moser's sits as an identifiable assembly. Through the display back this is a structural difference rather than a decorative one, and a substituted generic movement cannot present it whatever finishing has been applied to the bridges.
Service practice
The modular escapement means the regulating assembly can be exchanged as a unit, which shortens servicing considerably relative to the caliber's complexity. Work runs through Moser; there is no generic parts supply behind an in-house hairspring.
Open questions
Moser HMC caliber family and its members
Which HMC calibers does Moser produce, what are their specifications, and which use the modular escapement and the in-house hairspring?
Scope The catalog holds one caliber and the family is considerably larger. Since the movement carries most of the identification on the Concept watches, knowing which caliber belongs in which reference — and which structural features to expect — is more consequential here than it would be on a brand whose dials identify themselves.
