The expected inspection result is 7750-family architecture carrying Hamilton decoration. The 7753 base is also why the Intra-Matic chronograph has its registers where it has them — the dial layout follows the caliber.

Parts availability is effectively unlimited, the 7750 family being the most widely produced automatic chronograph ever made. A rebuilt example containing generic 7750-family components runs correctly and is an originality note rather than a finding against the watch.
