MB&F Legacy Machine suspended balance caliber
High confidenceRecorded as a construction rather than a numbered specification. The suspended balance is not decoration but an architectural decision with consequences that propagate: the crystal must be domed to clear it, so the case profile is constrained by the movement, and an LM-style watch under a flat crystal has no room for the mechanism it claims.

Architecture
A caliber built so that the balance is suspended above the dial on an arched bridge, fully exposed, with the going train and subdials beneath it. Developed with named external constructors.
Authentication notes
- MovementProbable
The balance must be suspended and oscillating
The balance hangs above the dial in full view and reverses direction constantly at the movement's beat rate. A static element in that position, or a wheel rotating steadily rather than oscillating, is conclusive. This is among the most exposed balances in watchmaking and therefore among the easiest to verify.
Service practice
Manufacture and collaborator work with no generic supply. Servicing runs through MB&F, whose records — at these volumes — can confirm an individual machine.
