Distinct from the 2431 in a way that is constantly confused and is trivially checkable on the dial: the 2426 shows normal 12-hour time WITH a separate 24-hour hand, while the 2431's main display is itself 24-hour. A watch whose hour hand takes a full day to circle the dial is a 2431; one whose hour hand circles twice a day with an extra hand tracking the other scale is a 2426.
