Titanium and a 1000m rating make two independent physical checks
Titanium is markedly less dense than steel and takes heat from the hand more slowly, so a 46mm titanium case has a distinctive weight-to-size relationship an examiner can judge unaided. A 1000m case, separately, requires substantial crystal thickness and a heavy screw-down back. The two claims constrain each other: too heavy for titanium, or too light for the wall thickness a kilometre rating needs, and something is wrong.
