Hamilton's higher railroad grade, at 23 jewels against the 992B's 21, and produced in far smaller numbers — which is precisely why the grade marking is worth verifying rather than reading. Serial numbers carry an S or 2B prefix. Because a 950B commands a large premium over a 992B, the profitable alteration is to the grade marking on the movement, not to the watch as a whole.
