Movement
Visible from both sides, so compare the architecture
The RW1212 is skeletonised at the dial and shown through the caseback. That gives an examiner two independent views of the same movement and leaves a substitution nowhere to hide. Compare the bridge layout, the balance position and the visible train against the published caliber — a generic movement behind a skeletonised dial will not match from either direction.

Do not expect the RW1212 elsewhere in the range
Most Raymond Weil references carry Sellita or ETA-family movements and are correct doing so. The RW1212 is the exception rather than the rule, and treating an outside movement in an ordinary Freelancer as a finding would be wrong — the brand does not claim otherwise. Note also that the RW1212 itself was developed with Sellita rather than conceived alone, so the line between it and the bought-in calibers is one of exclusivity rather than of origin.
