Professional Authentication Platform

Bulova High-frequency quartz (262 kHz)

High confidence

Used across the Precisionist, Lunar Pilot and other modern Bulova lines. Two consequences follow and both are authentication-relevant. The higher oscillator supports finer chronograph resolution than an ordinary quartz. And the seconds hand sweeps — which is correct, is a brand signature, and defeats the common shortcut of using sweep-versus-step to determine whether a movement is mechanical. On a Bulova, that shortcut produces wrong answers in both directions.
