Worth holding in mind alongside the 1957 record: the modern watch is a Swiss quartz watch in an American design, and the two are separated by everything except the case shape. Note the mineral rather than sapphire crystal — a scratched crystal on this reference is consistent with the specification and is not evidence of a substituted part.
