A plastic movement with visible moulding seams and a single jewel is CORRECT — the caliber 2250 runs 52 parts against a conventional movement's ~91, with exactly one jewel (the escapement impulse pin, in synthetic ruby) and metal confined to the balance assembly, mainspring, barrel and winding.
