Authentication Notes

Bracelet

HighProbable

The strap remains the strongest single check

As across the brand. Leather quality, stitch regularity, edge finishing and the stamped markings are where counterfeiters run out of capability, and the Heure H is worn as much as jewellery as a watch, which puts the strap constantly in view.

Case

HighProbable

The H is a letterform and letterforms have proportions

The case reproduces a specific H: the ratio of the uprights to the crossbar, the width of each stroke, and where the dial sits within it are all fixed. Counterfeits produce an H that is recognisably an H and not the right one — usually with strokes that are too thick or a crossbar set too high. Because the whole watch is one letter, the error is visible at a glance once you know to look for it, and impossible to hide.
