Caliber map for the pre-2019 J12
Which bought-in Swiss automatic and quartz calibers did Chanel fit to the first-generation J12, and to which references and years?

The automatic first-generation J12 uses the ETA 2892-A2, confirmed by auction lot descriptions and by specialist coverage of the 2019 changeover, which contrasts the new Kenissi caliber against 'a conventional ETA movement, procured from the Swatch Group'. So a 2892-A2 in a pre-2019 automatic J12 is CORRECT and is not a substitution. Quartz calibers for the same period are not established here.
Scope PARTIALLY ANSWERED for the automatics, which are the ones that matter most because they carry the value. Still open for the quartz executions, which are numerous and poorly documented, and for the year-by-year reference mapping. Chanel's own site holds only current production, so the remainder is an auction-and-dealer-record exercise.
