The defining Franck Muller counterfeit. The case curves one way, the crystal is flat or nearly so, and the whole thing reads correctly only from directly above. A profile view settles it, and a profile view costs nothing to ask for.

Copies smooth out the deliberate irregularities in the numerals, producing lettering that is more even than the original. Because the numerals exist in no typeface, the copyist has no source and must work from photographs, which is why this error is so consistent.
