Registry Terms

The Registry exists so that a certificate can be checked against our own records rather than taken at face value. It is the answer to a single question: does Atlas & Crown hold this certificate record, and what is its current status?

A public Registry entry is limited to information about the watch and the certificate. It displays:

• The certificate number and certificate version.
• The certificate’s current status — verified, superseded, or revoked.
• The brand, model, reference number, dial description, and production year recorded for the watch.
• The serial number in masked form, showing only its final characters.
• The date the certificate was issued.
• The current ownership status of the watch — for example whether it is active, has a transfer pending, or is under dispute.
• Where a verified manufacturer has explicitly published records for the watch: the contributing organization’s name and a redacted summary — counts and years only.

Serial numbers are deliberately masked. A full serial number is an identifier that materially assists counterfeiting and impersonation, so it is shown in full only to the authenticated owner and to our staff — never on a public page, and never in an unauthenticated API response.

A verified Registry entry confirms that:

• A certificate with that number was issued by Atlas & Crown.
• It was issued following a recorded Genuine authentication conclusion.
• The certificate carries the status shown at the moment you look at it.
• The watch details displayed are those recorded for that certificate.

Presence in the Registry does not establish, and must not be presented as establishing:

• Legal ownership or title to the watch.
• That the person showing you the certificate is the owner, or is entitled to sell.
• The market, resale, or insurance value of the watch.
• That the watch is free of theft reports, liens, or competing claims.
• Any manufacturer warranty, endorsement, approval, or authorization.
• That the watch remains, today, in the condition and configuration in which it was examined.

The Registry reflects the current position, not a fixed snapshot. A certificate may be superseded by a later one, may be revoked, and a watch’s ownership status may change — including into a disputed state.

Check the Registry at the time you intend to rely on it. A screenshot, a printed page, or a prior check is not a current verification.

Records that did not result in a Genuine conclusion do not appear in the Registry as verified entries, and a certificate number that was never issued resolves as not found.

The Registry is not a list of counterfeit watches or of the people who submitted them. We do not publish counterfeit or inconclusive outcomes against named individuals.

You may look up and verify individual certificate numbers, and share a verification link, for the purpose of checking a certificate.

You must not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or systematically enumerate the Registry; reproduce it in whole or in substantial part; use it to compile a database of watches or owners; or present Registry content in a way that suggests Atlas & Crown endorses a listing, a seller, or a transaction.

If you believe a Registry entry contains an error, tell us and we will investigate. Corrections are recorded, not silently applied.

The Registry’s value depends on entries not disappearing on request, so we do not remove an accurate entry merely because a party would prefer it were not there. Where a legal obligation or a genuine safety concern requires an entry to be restricted, we will act on it.
